What are the next steps after I submit an application inquiry?

  1. Waitlist Placement

    All applicants are automatically placed on our waitlist upon submission of an application inquiry. We begin contacting families on March 15th as space becomes available.

  2. Notification of Availability

    If a class placement opportunity becomes available for your student, we will contact you to confirm continued interest in enrollment.

  3. Confirm Interest & Schedule Assessment

    Once space has been identified and you confirm your interest, the non-refundable Application & Assessment Fee is due. This fee covers placement testing and application processing. Payment of this fee allows us to move forward with scheduling your student’s assessment.

  4. Placement Testing

    All new students participate in placement testing to determine their academic and behavioral readiness for our program. Testing typically takes 60–120 minutes.

    Placement at Parnassus Preparatory Academy is determined according to a student’s readiness for our curriculum and classroom environment. Placement is not based solely on age or traditional grade level, but on academic preparedness, maturity, and overall fit for our classical program.

  5. Parent Interview
    Families participate in a parent interview with PPA administrators. This allows us to discuss the family’s ability to support co-teaching, alignment with our classical education philosophy, educational priorities, and the family’s application materials. It also ensures a strong mutual fit between Parnassus Preparatory Academy and prospective families.

  6. Notification of Acceptance

    Accepted students will be notified beginning April 15th. Upon acceptance, families will receive an enrollment packet. The non-refundable Registration Fee is due with the completed enrollment packet to finalize enrollment and secure the student’s placement.
