2026-27 Book LIST
Before ordering your child’s books, please make sure your child has completed all placement tests/exit exams and you have received your child’s class/course placement from administration.
Each course/class includes a list of required and recommended materials. Recommended materials may include flashcards (which families may create themselves to save money) and teacher guides, which many parents find helpful when working with their students on homeschool days.
Families are encouraged to obtain all required books before the start of the school year whenever possible. However, the Level B Math book and the next Writing book in the sequence will not be needed until the second semester and may be purchased later if desired. Please refer to your instructor's syllabus for assignment and reading schedules throughout the year.
Unless otherwise noted, Student Guides must be new, completely unused, and free of any writing, markings, highlighting, or completed exercises. Students are encouraged to annotate and mark their novels as part of the learning process. We recommend developing a personal library of classic books that your child can return to and enjoy for years to come. A few books may be carried over from a previous year and are identified as such on the book list.
You may be able to find novels, picture books, and other materials from online retailers or other sources at a discounted price. Please verify that you are purchasing the correct version (Charter and Public School Edition) by using the ISBN number listed. Having the correct edition helps ensure that students are using the same text as the teacher and classmates, making it easier to follow along with class discussions and page references.
